Lineman Wrench

In any job, a person’s efficiency is dependent on his tools. This is true more so for linemen whose expertise must translate into the tools he uses. When it comes to tools, the lineman wrench is the most popularly utilized hand tool. As such, the need for a lineman wrench that embodies that lineman work is definite. The Lowell Corporation, a producer of various hand tools and machinery, understands this need and has made a formidable line up of lineman wrenches. The Lowell Lineman wrench aims to address the lineman’s need for tools that are simple, durable and adaptable to various situations and conditions, much like the lineman himself.

The Lowell Corporation gives us three variations of the Lowell lineman wrench. First is the Lowell Triple Square Distribution Wrench. This wrench features enclosed ratchet mechanism for its 50T and 51T models for enhanced handling and durability. The 101T, 150T and 151T models of the Triple Square Distribution Wrench have a semi-enclosed ratchet mechanism which is ideal when there is a need for lower chances of fouling when using the wrenches. The second variant of the Lowell wrenches is the Transmission Wrench that provides greater flexibility and range for lineman work. For those who need a tool that is adaptable to numerous situations, the third option is the new Dual End Distribution Wrench.  These wrenches provide multiple options for linemen using only one wrench and generate greater torque for the amount of force used on the wrench.

All these wrenches feature the advantages that Lowell wrenches incorporate in its products. They are available in ¾ inch by 1 and 1/8 inch square socket heads and ¾ inch hex socket heads to address differing needs. The ¾ inch hex head is also effective for 5/8 inch square nuts when the need arises. All the wrenches feature bright orange socket heads for greater visibility and better contrast against lineman clothing and gloves in varying weather conditions. The greater visibility also aids in finding the needed tool faster. All the Lowell Lineman wrenches feature controls that can easily be reversed for a more adaptable and encompassing range of work.

The construction of the lineman wrenches was done with durability and practicality in mind. The handles are available in 8 inch and 11 inch lengths for a mix of easy handling and greater torque production. These are made with fabricated steel handles for strength and durable longevity of the wrenches. The grips have been improved to a 1 and a half inch “fat grip” for better hold but still fit into standard lineman work belt slots. They are also coated with epoxy paint for a durable finish that allows easy cleaning of oil and dirt.

The Lowell wrenches also feature their signature Bolt-Thru design that allow bolt and threaded rods of any length to pass through the wrench head for easier handling and work.

These wrenches are available both in convenient hardware stores and online. The prices vary but brand new wrenches cost an approximate price of 95 dollars while prices for used wrenches online are at 65-68 dollars.
